Inbox Placement

The percentage of your sent emails that actually land in the primary inbox, versus the spam folder or promotions tab.

What It Is

It’s distinct from “Delivery Rate”. Delivery just means the email didn’t bounce. Inbox Placement means it was actually seen by the human.

Why It Matters

You can have a 99% Delivery Rate but a 0% Inbox Placement if all your emails go to Spam. This is the silent killer of cold outreach campaigns.

How To Improve

  • Authenticate your domain (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
  • Keep volume steady.
  • Write personalized content (avoid spam trigger words).
